The Sound Lounge proudly presents 4 THE RECORD with Philadelphia favorite Osagie: FREE on May 23rd, 2026, from 9 pm-12 am. Happy Hour runs 9-10!

For those unaware, Osagie is an Atlanta-born DJ who spends a good chunk of his time shopping for quality, rare, unplayed records. From the time he was 13, he listened to Jazz, Soul, R&B, Gospel, & Hip hop from his family's collection and from other pre-eminent DJs from the 80s, who heavily influenced his sound.

“I visit record stores four times a week on average and typically spend up to 4 hours record digging worldwide. Engaging in this ritual is the closest thing to medication.” says Osagie. He uses his knowledge of the music to educate established listeners and also youth on the traditional forms and sounds of African American culture.
