Hello friends! Happy solstice and welcome to the start of summer. Kicking off the season with deep estival sounds is none other than Pittsburgh’s beloved Carrie Sours.

Carrie is a Cleveland-born DJ, producer, and lifelong record collector who started building her collection at age four and came of age in smoke-filled record shops. Emerging from Cleveland’s underground hip-hop and electronic scenes and the vanguard queer parties at Now That’s Class, she describes her sound as “moody & funky”—an irreverent blend of emotional and psychedelic dance music, sensual grooves, post-punk, and private press records shaped by the DIY, glamour-free creative environment of the Midwest. In 2025, she released her debut EP, Advanced Yearning, on her SOURS label.

She currently co-runs the Sweet Abyss series alongside Kiernan Laveaux, Malzof, and Davis Galvin, presenting local and international transgender, queer, and esoteric electronic music in a relaxed community setting at Bantha Tea Bar. She is also a resident at Mary’s, where she hosts Carrie-oke and Moody B*tch Disco. Alongside her regular events, she has brought her eclectic approach to Hot Mass, Bad Sauna, Splish Splash, Cleveland’s Crobar, DC’s Free Pussy party, lesbian arm-wrestling tournaments, public pools, and youth ice-skating competitions. When she’s not digging for records, she enjoys bakeries, saunas, birdsong, and silliness as a sanity practice.

Spatial Awareness is 9 pm-12 am. Carrie Sours is the DJ. 

Our door is donation-based with a suggested sliding scale of $10-$20 - no one will be turned away. Donations go towards paying the artists and organizers, and are greatly appreciated if you have the means to contribute!
